Schools are receiving daily updates from the Department for Education regarding the best practice in light of the Coronavirus outbreak and we will continue to update you as new guidelines are published.

Following the Prime ministers press conference yesterday, we will now be implementing the 14-day isolation period for anyone who has displayed any of the following symptoms.

  • A New Continuous Cough
  • High Temperature

Please note that pupils who were at home yesterday starting a 7-day isolation will now have to extend this to 14 days.

As you will be aware, we have a number of vulnerable pupils at school, in order to protect them and all other pupils we ask that you follow this advice closely and keep pupils off for the required amount of time when they present either of these symptoms.

We realise that staying at home may be difficult or frustrating but this will help to control the spread of illnesses among school and the wider community.

Resources which you can use during periods of isolation can be found on the Acorns Website under the ‘Parents’ tab.

We thank you in advance for your cooperation.
